When people call in to some sort of call-in program and start out asking the host how they're doing, the host asks them how they're doing, or "WHAT'S GOIN' ON?" or whatever, the other person says "good," etc.

Jesus fucking christ, how much fucking airtime is eaten up with this bullshit?

Part of this is just bad hosting, and more hosts need to be trained to answer the call in such a way that this 100% perfunctory and empty small talk is sidestepped.

Just go "Hi, (x), you're on (x). What's your question?" And then if the shitheads start stammering and TRYING TO START THAT SHIT, just al;sjdf;l

You know what I mean.
