I am sure the anime fan who rated these shows might have had a different opinion had he bothered to fully watch any of them.

First of all, Naruto is virtually a tribute to DBZ. I know all you anime FAGGOT are like"duh no its classy" but I am sorry to say that you are wrong.

Its also funny how snobby anime fans rate the series based on the dub, something an anime fan should never, ever do (especially if he is the snobby anime type who rates DBZ badly) but is endlessly done by critics of the series anyway. The FUNimation dub of DBZ is one of the most horribly butchered animes brought over in modern times.

Another thing snot anime faggots do is rate a series based on its production values. Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Iria and to a lesser extent, Ninja Scroll all had great production values, but were they really that great? NO, I think even fans of these should concede how over-rated they are, not even as truly noteworthy as any decent Miyzaki film. DBZ had shitty production values at times, but that doesn't mean it was never a good series. I love anime like Bubblegum Crisis and its music, but I must plainly admit it wasn't that good of a series.

This is no moot point; it applies to so many anime its unbelievable. There are countless anime that had amazing, possibly even revolutionary production values, to the point that you wonder why it isnt a worldwide influence. Its because the least you can do is be better than DBZ when you invest all your money on high quality animation and sexy voice actors.

The lease one can do is say it is better than any fucking crap animation the US has passed as "quality" that wasn't Disney. Like any anime, DBZ has better music, a more continuos plot, and, though hardly philisophical about it, is not as morally simplistic as american animation. As piss poor character development as DBZ had, at least it never QUITE sank to the level of "duh Joker robbed a bank he's pure evil" shit.

In fact, that comes to the previous point; just because both american and most Japanese animation have great production values doesn't mean they don't suck. American animation has great production values, but it will never ring my chimes the same way anime does.

Make no mistake, it's a cycle. A cycle that YOU GUYS PERPETUATE just as much as I do. Probably more. Not only that, but you're the fucking ones (at least among the ones) who created me in the first place. It's an interplay we've been participating in since the fucking day I opened my site. I was an integral part of it all along, of course. But so were all of you. We all created this nightmare together. Each of us raising the bar for the other every step of the way.

I try to stop talking about my personal life, and OTHER PEOPLE bring it up, forcing me to respond and inevitably reveal more in order to refute whatever it is they happen to be accusing me of!

I try to leave forever, and it's "weres chris paros?"

I try to STAY gone anyway and get people fucking emailing me and IMing me begging me to come back and "not to tell the rest of the board" that they said so!

Then, right here in this thread, the moment I express my desire to try to make my presence less grandiose, people immediately start specifically asking for GIGANTIC, GRANDIOSE ESSAYS!

I try going to Untalent and Theldorrin immediately begins to arrange everything so that ALL THE THREADS REVOLVE AROUND ME, THEN HE PROCEEDS TO CALL ME A PIECE OF SHIT FOR TRYING TO MAKE EVERYTHING REVOLVE AROUND ME! I do my best to talk about HIM, or the topic at hand, or whatever, and he responds to every last thing that I say with something directed squarely at, and regarding, me. He makes threads with my name in them. Topics (he admitted this!) specifically designed to spark my interest. He goes on to continue making every attempt to goad me into posting.

Then, when I do, he tells me to shut up because my posts "bore him."

What the fuck? WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?
