I have to say, it almost destroyed the book's nerd credibility for me when Oscar started crying when "Rich" Hunter got together with Lisa in Robotech. But that was the only moment of nerd-dom that wasn't extremely authentic, so I'll assume it was just a typographical error.

It's kind of amazing that Trujillo was a real person. Thousands of flunkies scouting the nation for teenage girls to him to rape! Minions who employ dwarves to bite off people's testicles! Seriously, if all you knew about the Dominican Republic was what was in this book you would think Diaz had just made up the whole country.
