If nothing else, I hope that anybody who is following the PRIMARIES will see that this is not imagined conspiracy bullshit, and that it is objectively, provably happening.

I watched the debates last week and it was literally laughable how blatant it was. They just would not talk to him, other than a few token questions. It was out there for all to see.

In the post-debate commentary, he wasn't mentioned at all except when absolutely necessary (at least on MSNBC). This is routine.

The US presidency is given to one of a preselected stable of candidates, handpicked by the media and the entities that control the media.

This country is not a democracy.

The situation with Ron Paul is making this so blatant that people are being forced to face it.

Ron Paul is obviously a fantastic candidate, but I can't bring myself to vote for him, due to three shortcomings/bigotries in my personality:

1) I don't believe he is capable of winning.

2) I want O'Bama bin Laden to win, thus relinquishing me of approximately 85% of my white guilt.

3) I can't bring myself to vote for a Republican at this stage in my life.

In any event, he won't make it past the primaries, and I don't vote in the primaries, and even if I did, I'd vote in the Democratic primaries, so it's a moot point.

A lot of white citizens of the United States feel guilty about being white because our ancestors were very close to succesful in committing genocide on the natives, and also because they enslaved a lot of African citizens whose descendents still live among us today.

Even though we didn't commit these acts ourselves, our life situation is often the better because of them. And this is generally the source of the guilt. For example, we would not have so much land to live on if we had not exterminated something like 80% of the natives. And also, we would not have an economic advantage over black citizens usually if they weren't descended from people who were forced to start from nothing after abolition, whereas I, for example, own a significant amount of tobacco stock that has been in my family since slave days. For people who do not consider Norman culture superior to Native American or African culture, this is a particular concern, because a lesser or at least on-par culture is weakening and almost exterminating other cultures, leading to a world that is often times both more boring and more violent.

Adding to many citizens' white guilt is the evident racism that still goes on in workplaces and such. For example, the restaurant where I work has mostly black and hispanic waitors, but when a manager was fired for stealing, one of only three white waitors was chosen as the new manager, despite the fact that he is incompetent, has very many speech impediments, and virtually no interpersonal skills. The restaurant -- a very prominent one frequented by Mayor Ray Nagin and football hero Archie Manning among other influential people -- has yet to hire a non-white manager other than one Asian shift manager.

For this reason, black people obtaining positions of power makes me feel less guilty about being white.
