Apparently I have a bullseye on my stomach today, and considering who I am it's one huge bullseye.

i used spammed ultima but that is only because I didnt know when i put them in order that if one died another would jump in, so they just spammed ultima but i was using cyan at first and celes or terra so they did ultima my thief guy had a throw weapon and the atma weapon so he did normal attack and cyan I used his special tech

I usually used Locke instead of Celes because of his steal/mug option.

If you don't do a trememdous amount of state manipulations swapping either Terra or Celes for Relm or Strago is a good idea. Relm has the highest magic stat of any character, and if you bothered to pick it up Grand Train is just as good as Ultima. In the late game Shadow surpasses Sabin largely because throw is ridiculously powerful.

Those 4 I pick are characters you frequently have control of, so it's easy to boost their abilities.

Locke is another decent choice.

By the end, all of my characters are just doing Ultima every turn at 9999 damage for 1 mana (with the economizer). And whoever has the highest magic stat at that point has the Gem Box too.

I believe you can purchase Ninja Stars at the end of the game, and shurikens on a built up Shadow do 9999 anyway.

Shadow also has some of the highest natural stats in the game.

So does Sabin's best blitz. Fire, bolt and Water skeans all hit everything on the screen though.

After beating the game over and over again I started to try out new things and enforce certain rules (level 50 cap, no ultima etc...).
