The American Civil War is really my only interest other than sports so maybe I'll just post about that for the next four years.

Well, this is a delight! I never bothered talking about it here because I thought the only person who would engage me in conversation about it would be Outland.

Let's talk generals: Grant I have a hard time forming a judgment about. Part of me feels like he was a dirtbag drunk who ended up where he did kind of by accident and didn't give a shit about his men. Another part feels sorry for him and thinks maybe he was just out of it and people took advantage of him.

Lee was charismatic and a gentleman but was stupidly overconfident, and Longstreet would have been a better leader.
