I liked the gameplay though, except that you could basically beat the game with Edgar until the very end and then just use terra

OK, so FFVI is on SNES, Playstation, and GBA. Should I get the GBA or SNES ROM or should I wait until I can play it on a Playstation?

The only differences between the Super Nintendo version and PlayStation version are a couple corrections in the text (Vicks -> Biggs, Fenix Down -> Phoenix Down, etc.) and a FMV at the beginning and end.

The GBA version has a superior translation, more Magicite, and extra dungeons. So I'd go with that.

I didn't really notice much difference in the GBA music on my GBA, other than the Chocobo theme.
