I won't have an opportunity to play this any time soon, but is it worth playing? Are any of the FF games I'd be able to play on an emulator as good or better than it?

It's one of those games that haven't aged very well. The mechanics are okay and the story was pretty great when I was 15. The music is what I remember most fondly about the game though.
