I get Ninja Scroll and Ninja Resurrection mixed up in my head, but the only confusion lies in which one is awful, and which one is dying by slowly sliding down a post in your ass.

But I think the latter is Ninja Resurrection.

I love ninja scroll for the animation, and while some people may judge it for a storyline (I dunno they're blind or catatonic, whatever). The quality just really stands out.

And, you're thinking of Ninja Resurrection, which was stoped after only two episodes of production because it was so bad. Or, because it had a Japanese Jesus, that turns into Satan.

my opinions on ninja scroll range from "shit" to "passable with some great ideas", but still and overrated movie. EVerything BETWEEN rockman and Genma was total shit

I watch a lot of anime, but I don't generally talk about it here, because I don't know anybody else who likes Spiral, much less things like Tsukihime or Shura no Toki.

I was probably just disappointed in Ninja Scroll, so I remember it as bad. I didn't like Akira much either, and Ghost in the Shell was mediocre. The only big anime movies that were supposed to be awesome that turned out to be very good were the Miyazaki movies that I've seen.
