There's probably a better thread for this, but I just listened to an interview the guy who wrote the LOCALIZED SCRIPT for not only METAL GEAR SOLID 1, but the SILENT HILL SERIES, and WROTE THE SCRIPT for SYMPHONY OF THE NIGHT.

Anyway, the interview is awesome since this guy is responsible for all those beautiful lines and he's a really bitter asshole. He got fired from Konami because he kept trying to rewrite the dialog since it sounded so retarded and Kojima TOOK OFFENSE to messing with his vision or something. He also says he has a huge ego and stuff.

I don't know, he talks about so many great things and he actually PUT THE WELL-GREASED CHAMBER LINE into the game when there wasn't anything like it in the original. He's a god hero champion.

He basically spends 10 minutes shitting over Metal Gear Solid 2, and he talked to the writer who replaced him for that game and she says "It's the worst script I've ever read."

James from Silent Hill 2's voice actor got his job because he brought his daughter in to do the little girl's and then walked up to the voice director and went "Uh, I don't have a job right now, so could you give me a job?"

Konami is an awesome company.

He's completely right about Metal Gear Solid 2, but it brings up an interesting point. All this retarded shit makes the game better, but sometimes it gets in the way of the INTENTIONAL SHIT, like DRAMA or EMOTION (the Otacon crying scene in 2 was one of the worst things I've laid my eyes upon).

I'm so glad he just shits all over the Liquid's arm thing, as that's probably what I hate the most.

People who host podcasts (I wish there was a better word for this) are basically the worst possible interviewers. Do any of these fucking guys not sound like faggots? It's especially bad when you can tell that they have a gay boner for whatever they're discussing.
