The power is out in my town, possibly through the weekend, so I'm using the internet at Panera Bread. This would be a hindrance if I needed 4-6 hours to write this post, but I think I know what I want to say, and more importantly, and I thank God for this, and I want you to imagine me kneeling with clasped hands, turning my face to heaven, and tearfully, literally thanking God when I say this: I am not Chris Psaros.

I read Chris's post twice and found it fully confirmed my suspicion that I would have been fine just skimming for my name as I did originally. Chris, excuse me for not being alarmed when the target of 80% of my abuse asserts that 85% of my posts are abusive. Add in Clotho, Outland, and Ace and yeah, eat shit. It's a novel concept, insulting people on a message board. I can see why that makes me seem unbalanced and like a junior high school bully to you. It's funny you would put it that way, because when I was a bully in junior high school, you found it... inspirational.

SERIOUSLY though I do sometimes feel bad about being a jerk here. I went overboard on Rice, for instance. And I'm definitely an asshole many times when I get into arguments. It's amazing to me that you'd try to cast me as unbalanced and hyperaggressive after constantly hiding behind your "persona" and your tight control on what anyone here knows about you (yawn). I'm crazy for being argumentative on the internet, and being aggressive and insulting in those arguments. That's definitely more substantial than your pattern of disgusting personal habits, unbelievable narcissism, and tiresome, masochistic attention whoring. Even if I'm generous and say that both our worse natures have been encouraged here, I'd still rather be a dick than a despicable performance art trainwreck.

Do you know what your problem is? A lot of people here have gimmicks, be they self-styled or something that is ascribed to them. But you're the only person whose gimmick is to be an annoying, unfunny turd and expect people to LIKE IT. Hur hur, it's all part of your wacky persona!! What's real and what's just trolling!! Is he really pining for his glory days as a DBZ webmaster? Is he really resentful of everyone who has successfully gotten rich, quickly, with a zany scheme? Is he actually a stereotypical guy with one black friend? What is your personality supposed to be, to anyone here, that you could get away with being FAKE obnoxious? Who is the real you that we're supposed to like and appreciate for his insight and sense of humor? Do you think you need to post about 2012 and ghosts to come across as a loudmouth imbecile who believes in 2012 and ghosts? This is why I said you overestimate how much changes in your life carry over to the board. You are unaware of how much continuity is apparent.

There was a stretch a little while ago when I thwarted like five of your edits in a row and you were getting pissed. As satisfying as it is to piss you off, it's outweighed by annoyance at your retarded posting ritual. Think of what you want to post and then post it. Or post something and then edit it. But nobody goddamn cares about your FINE-TUNING, in and of itself, and it's a good example of how your presence here comes across phony and masturbatory. Ditto on when you were conspicuously deleting posts. There is no visible difference between you posting about posts, and you IRONICALLY posting about posts. The fact that you think there is speaks volumes about you and why you're terrible.

You are right to think that you've gotten better at using the board for real discussions. I wouldn't be surprised if there are other people like Morgan and MHH who feel that your current balance is well on the side of tolerable. But you are utterly, inexpressibly wrong to think that you will EVER be in a position where somebody enjoys you backsliding into what you used to do. Into what used to be ALL you did. Imagine your posts are an industrial ice cream maker. Actually no, your posts aren't like ice cream, but imagine something something less... glamorous. Imagine your posts are an industrial ketchup maker. No matter how big that thing is, a single log of shit will ruin it. There is no magic ratio of shit-to-ketchup whereby people will be able to accept it, least of all enjoy it.

I haven't gone into the backlog of this thread yet, but I saw the new posts icon and said "what the hell" and read THAT post, and it's actually the most accurate post anyone has ever made on the subject of me/my posts, is totally un-marred by ridiculousness, and I see only a few things to disagree with, though there are a few things (it's also by far the most honest I've ever seen you be about YOURself, but that's something else).

The short answer to my shittiness is: inertia, habits, and conditioning. I've wanted to be not-shitty for a long time, but that's tricky when the characteristics that make up the very foundations of your identity within a particular social group are a shit-checklist. I am totally flabbergasted by how utterly trapped I got in the way that I post and totally lost the ability to distinguish even for myself what I was and wasn't serious about.

So, don't get me wrong, I totally understand the problem here, from your end.
