Well you do have a point.
The whole popularity contest of high school never goes away. Even in the professional world, or even in pretentious scientific discussions. It doesn't matter if you're the most intelligent, or even the most correct, history and experience has proven to me, in every aspect of my life, that if you're unpopular, people won't even LISTEN to you.
People NEED to have their egos strokes, people need to respond to people's inane issues in their journal forums, in order for them to be respected in any way.
People didn't CARE how funny I was or how entertaining my board used to be. This board doesn't care about ANY of that. People only come here to be accepted and to have friends.
I mean, even Gimp Mask is more liked than me, and he totally lacks empathy.
At the moment, Ron L. Butterfly is more beloved than me perhaps I ever was. |
