I'm sure they celebrated privately, but they weren't swinging from the vines for everyone to see.

Louisiana blew me away when it came to racial relations compared to California. What you have there is a silent understanding. The black people have their place, and the white people have theirs. It's very comfortable.

Nothing, nothing at all, like the uppity minorities and guilty whites here.

Ironically, people seem to give LESS of a shit about race there.

i was in first period media class and the teacher said "hey they hit the twin towers" and I was like "oh" and he was like "just now" and i didnt know what the hell they were at all. Then we watched the news for a period and then my friend and I skipped out of school, obviously no one cared enough because we walked out the front door in plain daylight, then I went home and my mom and uncle clam baked the house from smoking pot.

i was in 1st period media class either that or I had a study hall 2nd period and was hanging out in Mr. Fortias class but I believe it was 1st period that he told me about that and it was either 2nd or 3rd period when I was pulled into the auditorium and we watched the news for 1 whole period then they told us to go back to class and Scott and I skipped but fuck you Peter for over analyzing something that happened fucking 6 years ago
