That report just makes it even more obvious that the McCain campaign is completely incompetant.
Steve Schmidt is barely pretending to try.
"The Anchorage (Alaska) Daily News endorsed Obama on Oct. 25, 2008:
Gov. Palin's nomination clearly alters the landscape for Alaskans as we survey this race for the presidency — but it does not overwhelm all other judgment. The election, after all is said and done, is not about Sarah Palin, and our sober view is that her running mate, Sen. John McCain, is the wrong choice for president at this critical time for our nation.
Sen. Barack Obama, the Democratic nominee, brings far more promise to the office. In a time of grave economic crisis, he displays thoughtful analysis, enlists wise counsel and operates with a cool, steady hand. The same cannot be said of Sen. McCain."
Jesus Christ, can things get any worse for John McCain? He's like the Republican whipping boy. They send him out when they need a loser.

It is absolutely stunning to see how far internal finger-pointing inside the McCain campaign is going as we enter the final days of the general election. Both sides are now openly disobeying and speaking out against the other.
From CNN:
"Her lack of fundamental understanding of some key issues was dramatic," said another McCain source with direct knowledge of the process to prepare Palin after she was picked. The source said it was probably the "hardest" to get her "up to speed than any candidate in history."
And then, there is this report of Palin not sticking to the remarks the McCain campaign prepared for her and instead keeping the $150,000 shopping spree story alive today for yet another news cycle after it finally seemed like it was fading.
Ensuring that news of the Republican National Committee's sartorial spending spree will remain in the headlines for at least one more news cycle, Sarah Palin on Sunday sounded off on the $150,000 wardrobe that was purchased for her in September, denouncing the report as "ridiculous" and declaring emphatically: "Those clothes, they are not my property."
A senior adviser to John McCain told CNN's Dana Bash that the comments about her wardrobe "were not the remarks we sent to her plane this morning."
Few things here. First, we all knew Palin didn't know much about national issues and we now see that people within the campaign are now coming out with that news. Since it is now obvious that Palin is planning to come out forcefully against McCain after the election ends and blame him for things, the McCain people seem to be ready to respond with these types of reports designed to indicate how little Palin knew/knows.
As for the second item about Palin going off script to keep the shopping spree story alive, it says one thing -- Palin is now looking out for herself, not the McCain campaign. Her talking about the shopping spree story with eight days left in the election does nothing but damage. First, it keeps the story alive. Second, it raises a new question -- exactly how involved with the shopping was Palin? She now says she had nothing to do with it. That may be true, but it now pushes the media to dig deeper. Is there anything to gain from continuing to talk about that? Is the shopping spree story going to turn the election around for McCain? No. She knows all of this. So why is she talking about it? Because she now cares about her image, and her political future, more than she cares about this election. She wants to try and stop the image of her as a diva from setting in, even if doing so serves as a distraction for the McCain campaign and leads to reports like these, which paint a picture of internal chaos within the campaign.
I can't remember the last time a Presidential campaign went into full scale civil war like this BEFORE the actual election. Usually people within the campaign wait for the actual election to end before pulling out the knives.
With eight days to go, John McCain has completely lost control of his campaign. |

My county is all mail-in ballots, suckers.
Although I still haven't mailed it in, and it is a possibility that I will not get around to it by the 4th. _________________ Said the Captain PUNisher. |

Space Ghost, you have to vote because your Governor race is too close. Don't be lazy!
Unless I'm wrong, and you live in Oregon. In that case, your senate race is too close, so you still have to vote. |

I listened to it 2 1/2 times. I'm still trying to find the reference to the "Nailinn' Palin" porno that he aparently makes. All the news articles say it happens, but I keep missing it.
This is seriously gold.
I'll feel like a douche if it turns out this IS fake because I'm buying it. |
