Actually all teachers in a system are like that. Save for private or afterschool types, fuck teachers harder then cops

Asisstant teachers are also awful, but I guess theyre more modest about it

It all depends on the school. There are some that want their professors to be good teachers, there are some that value them more as researchers.

I need to decide if I want to apply for PhD programs, or go for a teaching certificate. Either way, life sucks, so I am definitely doing an Outland for a year.

Also, 75% of my school is in a greek organization, so weekends are a nightmare.

The sounds of people yelling WOOOOOOOOOO and/or fucking probably don't stop until 3 or 4 am.

Well, if you enjoy doing research papers, then go for it. The pay is awesome and you teach like 15 minutes a week.

Personally, I'll take the pay cut if it means never writing another thesis.
