You know one thing about the chat that I like better than the board is that on the board I'm always hesitant to post any details about my personal life, or what I've been into lately, because I often don't feel like I have enough interesting shit to say about a topic to make it worth starting a thread. But in the chat I can just throw that shit out there, and if people want to bite, then we get a conversation going, and if no one cares, then at least I don't feel self-conscious about wasting everyone's time.

It's hard to assess that scientifically, because there's no control group and you can never say WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN, but I truly feel that Fagtown did something SPECIAL to the die-hards, in terms of personal development and heightening awareness of awfulness and what not to do in e-communication.

Which, when perusing virtually any other medium of interaction on the Internet, instantly reveals itself to be a deep problem for humanity.

I guess FTU might not appear to be the savior that it is to anyone who started here when they were 14 (as opposed to, OH LET'S SAY, 23), and they may attribute the results of the TRAINING THAT WE HAVE ENGAGED IN HERE merely to the natural process of maturing.

But I think it's more than that.
