There's no fucking way Obama will win FL and NV. There's like to democrats to speak of anywhere here. Even the younger adults are voting for McCain. Honestly, I never even met a democrat in Florida, period.

Down here in Florida, it's actually very easy to get a house. There are also some cheap fucking homes here, too. Like there are plenty of these 2 bed,2 bath, 1/16 acre 1980 homes for like $60-80,000.

It's almost like buying an expensive car.

But these foreclosed homes are ass bad as they were a year ago. Now foreclosures are so common that half of these things are perfectly good. I think it's because some of these tenants expect to be back.

Then there are these little residential studios that you can actually buy for like $200 a godamn month.

The location is unreal, brand new, solid investment.

Aren't most poor houses in Florida destroyed every year due to hurricanes?

You're vastly overestimating the damage done by hurricanes; which is very common with northerners.

Otherwise, how would gems like this still stand:

The entire inside is probably ruined every year, which is the only way I can see a house being that cheap. Or maybe it has no plumbing or electricity.

I honestly can't fathom a house for so cheap. I could buy some of these outright!

This one is bigger and cheaper.

The price of a house where Orgy lives would probably go for less than 10% of what the exact same house would go for where I live.

Haha, 19,900 usd. In Dubai, you can just barely rent a one bedroom apartment for a year with that amount, and thats really in cheap areas.

In Iran, me and my two cousins put our money together and bought a tiny piece of empty land in a new area, sort of away from the city (nothing available in the city), and the city isn't even the capital in Iran, and it cost us total of USD 99,000. We paid that amount in cash too.

If you were in the military, VA loans work pretty well, surprisingly. My girlfriend and I are buying a house right now using one. Interest rates are really low right now too, I think ours is looking to be 4.5-5%. I wish we were able to find a house under 200,000 that we(read:my girlfriend) liked. We're paying $300,000 for ours, which works out to about 2,100 a month. Goodbye spare cash...

It's so stupid how non-US countries always have problems with housing costs. But then again, this attitude most likely triggered a global economic collapse...

In Japan, they had an option of increasing housing by 30% over 10 years, or investing in education. In conclusion, the educated left Japan and people still can't afford decent homes in the smartest country in the world. My nearby university (USF), has over 5,000 Japanese exchange students and virtually all of them already own homes. You can literally live here off fucking scholarships!

Buying a home should be part of everyone's life. The investment angle is essential if you plan living past 40 years old. Not to mention your chances of ending up in a nursing home is much lower if you can access the equity of your paid-off home. I don't want to spend the last decade of my life in a smelly hell-on-earth.

My plan is to die a good twenty or thirty years before I'm old enough to live in a nursing home.

The idea that everyone should be able to own their own home is a big part of why we're in the economic situation we are, bro.

Well, you should be able to own your house after 30 years.

Living in Florida seems neat and all, because of the nice climate, but I would move the second I saw a cockroach.
