Evidence of modern peanut butter comes from US patent #306727 issued to Marcellus Gilmore Edson of Montreal, Quebec in 1884, for a process of milling roasted peanuts between heated surfaces until the peanuts reached "a fluid or semi-fluid state." As the product cooled, it set into what Edson described as "a consistency like that of butter, lard, or ointment."

I'd also like to point out that while George Washington Carver did not invent peanut butter, he did discover lots of other uses for peanuts, and he was more sociologically minded than anything else. Farmers were all going broke because they grew nothing but cotton which depleted the soil of nitrogen or something. They needed to rotate the crop with something that would fix this, which I guess peanuts could do (I guess growing peanuts enriches the soil with nitrogen or something), so the next step was to find uses for peanuts so farmers would actually grow them.

I think he POPULARIZED peanutbutter as part of this campaign.

I don't know of any black scientists that pushed raw scientific theory to the next level by discovering a new proof or a math equation, but there have been black scientists who considered the big picture and thought about how a product could be produced and marketed to benefit both suppliers and consumers, and have generated and/or popularized products that have become staples of modern life as a result.

That might be why in Februrary, we "pretend" that black people have made significant contributions to science.

Einstein, for example, was theoretically brilliant but contributed nothing to modern living outside of making mass murder much easier.

Researchers have found the average IQ of black people (with socioeconomic and cultural factors and such controlled) to be significantly lower than that of white people and Asians. However, black children learn basic motor functions and skills like putting on their clothes for themselves properly at much younger ages.

It's enough to give you the wild idea that the Eurasian concept of intelligence is little more than a cultural invention to justify the existence of worthless, dependent people.
