I have pink eye! Or some kind of allergic reaction, I don't know. But probably pink eye.

Last night my eyes became irritated. Eventually it started to feel like I had something in my eyes. It felt like shit was scraping across my eyes every time I blinked or moved them around.

I kept prying them open to see what the DEAL was, and I found that there were these little things, like when you get that goopy eye crap in the corner of your eye, except it was just floating around wherever it wanted instead of staying in its corner.

So, I was frantically trying to get the stuff out of my eyes. At one point I even used a pair of tweezers (not on my eyebawl, but like under the eyelid). Probably not a good idea, but I was possessed by a feverish obsession to remove them all.

The scraping sensation lessened but I could never clean everything out. I went to sleep and when I woke up later, my right eyelid had swollen up a ton, and I couldn't open either of them since they were glued shut with crap.

I stayed home today because the swelling isn't going down and it looks ridiculous, like a black eye without the black. Plus they both itch like fuck and it's hard to see. Now I get to be bitched at tomorrow because there's some gay rule about missing 3 days of work in a rolling 6 month period. If I have the PTO, I should be able to use it whenever I want, you stupid fucks!

Pink eye does suck though. I had it like five years ago and the itchiness of the eyes is the worst. It also left my mouth with this weird sour taste. Shit lasted a week.

I've gotten extremely lucky when it comes to health problems, but when I get around middle aged, life is going to be a nightmare.

But it will be 2012 by then and there's a good chance we'll all have ascended to the fourth dimension at that point, and I'll be like, "so long, suckers!!!!!"
