Theres some truth to your argument, but....you just said "racism isnt the biggest factor" and then "white people want to keep blacks poor, but with bad education"

both are true but you're acting like there are no poor white people, or that Lousiana was ever cutting edge education for anyone, which is false.

Just.....fuck. Nothing.

And don't say "generations later" because blacks (or even not a few whites) didn't even have equal rights until 1965, and the deep south was dirt poor between the Civil War and WW2, so the "old money" logic doesn't follow for most whites.

Now if you were to say "rich whites who moved in recently from other regions" there would be truth to that.......except that would have little to do with slavery, and describes what's happening in Texas and Florida better than Louisiana

Speaking of deplorable, crime filled cities, I finally started watching The Wire recently. Man, that show isn't bad. It's funny to see places you've been to, and live not far from, as backdrops to that show.

I've started watching that too, specifically for the purpose of being underwhelmed by it, since all the critics absolutely shat their dicks over how brilliant it was, followed right along by the "suck up to authority opinion" snob fags like Jason.

One episode so far. Nothing brilliant yet!

But if the "experts" say it's brilliant, it must be.
