One click trick for Chatzilla:

1) Set irc://irc.techwarelabs.com as a bookmark.
2) Click that bookmark to open Chatzilla and go to the server.
3) In the Chatzilla window, go to Chatzilla >> preferences, then move to the Lists tab. Click add, and type /join #ftusa.
4) Oh by the way, this requires Greasemonkey, so install it.
5) Install this script:

Now you have a bookmark that will launch #ftusa instantly with no side effects.
