The thing with "its me not you" excuse is that if the YOU was awesome then the ME person would change to hold on to the relationship and if they were busy, had a tight schedule, needed more free time, etc, they would throw it away if they really thought the YOU person was great.

I used the excuse 2 weeks back and while I have a trouble maintaining a relationship and can come across as mean and cold sometimes, its just that the YOU person isn't that important to me

I'm sure everyone is surprised to hear that I'm not a relationship genius. I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with having little time in between relationships, though. If you meet someone you like and don't want to pass up the opportunity, I don't see why not. Especially when you're the one ending it; I imagine it's more difficult and unwise to get into another relationship if you've been dumped and are still in the process of mourning the failed relationship.

But I have come to the point where I just don't give a shit anymore. If someone BRILLIANT AND AMAZING happens to fall into my lap (heh), then, fantastic I guess, maybe I'll go for it. If not, I have plenty of work to do. But I don't want to end this relationship because I'm looking for someone else, I want to end it because I'd rather spend my time alone right now.

I don't know when the next time I'll ever be dating someone again. The process of disentangling yourself from someone after a break up is so arduous and insane that I don't really want to do that again any time soon. It involves poisoning your memories of anything good that happened and trying to convince yourself that you're not a terrible piece of shit. Sort of like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind but with poison and hate instead of machinery.
