In extreme cases, I'd take cold over heat because I have a huge fear of dehydration and I've had sunstroke a few times. Otherwise, I live in a building where I can crank the heat as much as I want for free, so I usually keep my bedroom as tropical as possible.

I forgot the time that I fainted in a Taco Via bathroom because of the heat.

I had actually been standing in line waiting to get water, when I suddenly felt really lightheaded and my vision was fading out. Next thing I know I'm on the floor, hugging a toilet.

This was back when I worked at a drive-thru dry cleaners for like 2 weeks in the dead of summer after I graduated high school. There was no air conditioning in the building, and it was obviously sweltering outside, and plus the machines inside made it even worse.

I pretty much quit right after that.

The irrationality of my opinion is that it is much harder to succumb to heat stroke or anything similar if you're careful but because COLD NUMBS YOU, it can be very easy to get frostbite and shit.

I have hyper-perspiration that causes me to need prescription-strength antiperspirant and topical creams during the summer, so I have a good reason to hate warm weather.

That and cold, overcast days have a fragile, stark beauty to them that abrasively hot days just don't have.
