I don't plan on seeing this, but I just wanted to say that I'm annoyed by people (manly stupid talk shows) talking about this being some all-star comedy line up, when out of the main guys the only really funny one is Chris Rock. Plus no one mentions Maya Rudolf, and I imagine she doesn't have a very large role, despite the fact that she is funnier than everyone else in the movie except Chris Rock.

| I can't think of a single comedy movie that is extremely funny. It's strange because I could easily name dozens of Simpsons/King of the Hill/South Park episodes that score a perfect five Roys out of five, but no movies. |

That's interesting, what Roy said.
There are lots of comedy movies that I love, and they're funny, but not THAT KIND of funny, and "funny" isn't why I love them!
I mean, I love Back to the Future, Office Space, Trading Places, etc. and they're comedies, but it's not like they make tears come out of my eyes or laugh particularly hard at all!
But like, Beavis and Butthead, holy shit. BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD FUCKING MAKES ME EXPLODE. |

Real niggas know and love CB4. That and Pootie Tang are really his only good movies though.
The rest of this cast is pretty bad, especially David Spade, who was never funny in anything ever. Now that I think about all the comedies I've seen the only one that is still genuinely hilarious to me and will be from now until the end of time is Friday. |

Airplane and Blazing Saddles are very funny, but I guess jewy comedic stylings are my thing.

| Beavis and Butthead is excellent, but the music videos really drag it down. There are actually stretches of episodes where the commentary is funny, but also stretches where it's unbearable. I guess way back then, TV shows on MTV were obligated to be at least somewhat related to music. |

Mike Judge was forced by MTV to include music video commentaries, because back then, MTV was supposed to be about music. Not retards with reality shows.
Yet the videos are some of the funniest parts. The Sabotage video is probably the greatest single moment in the show. |

I like Black Sheep better than Tommy Boy, but all in all I couldn't stand Chris Farley when he wasn't just doing sketch comedy.
Roy is completely correct though, but a lot of that's because it's easier to make something hilarious over 20 minutes than it is over 90 minutes (the Futurama series versus the Futurama movies demonstrates this). And frankly, a really shitty movie is funnier than a comedy movie as Calvin pointed out (although shitty comedies aren't fucking funny at all). |

I think Roy is wrong.
But I can't argue my case very well since the only movies that came to mind were Shawn of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.
