A month or so ago I got a SWEET HD LCD WIDESCREEN MONITOR so I can play my 360 and Wii on that SHIT in HI-DEFINITION. Of course, I sort of had to NIGGER RIG MY set up by having my sound play through like the MICROPHONE JACK by buying a RCA to Stereo Jack adapter.

Anyway, this causes the sound to come out as stereo only despite me having surround sound speakers. That's probably because it is a RED/WHITE cables to STEREO JACK. Is there some neat way to fix this?

Also, I'm interested in capturing video off my computer. Is there a way to capture what's going into my monitor? I guess not since the 360/Wii shit doesn't actually travel past the monitor.

I WANT TO RECORD SMASH BROS. MATCHES when it COMES OUT, GUYS.

It doesn't sound like either of those connections would be surround to begin with.

Why can't you plug the 360 and wii directly into your surround sound system?

My surround sound system came with my computer so the computer's sound connects to the speakers via a LINE-IN. To get my monitor's sound (whatever is being pumped into my monitor) to the computer to USE the computer's speaker, it needs the same line-in which defeats the purpose.

Right now I just the 360 RCA cables running through the AUX port which isn't as great.

I haven't been DESPERATELY POOR for awhile. You guys should assume if I'm not constantly talking about my poverty, then that means I'm not currently experiencing any.
