So I've been playing Undertale which is pretty good. It's really in love with Earthbound's non-sequitur humor to the point where each area seems to have something to interact with that does nothing but deliver a joke. I really enjoyed tall Skeleton bro taking you to his home by running around the map before returning to the door you met him at initially (I haven't actually played in two weeks so I've already forgotten all the characters' names).

OH, and I accidentally killed the mother monster at the beginning which was a real bummer when I figured out you could keep her alive.

Undertale was probably the best thing I played last year.

So King of Fighters XIV comes out today. Is anyone else getting it besides me and Seru? I can't think of anyone else who would unless they're feeling really nostalgic about jerking off to Yuri & Friends.

Oh, Urien's trailer was released and they seemingly did not add in him destroying his suit so you can admire his bronze, Greek statuesque build and loinclothed bulge. Very disappointing.

I was right, Rayfa is the best.

Speaking of which, easily the best game in the series since the original trilogy. Probably one of the longest too.

5 was alright but it only had like two good cases (first and third) and the final villain sucked.

If I had to rank the games it'd probably be something like

4 < 5 < 2 < 1 < 6 < 3

With Apollo Justice far lower than the others.

Pirated a shitload more PC games. Here we go!

Darkest Dungeon: Tries to do Dark Souls for turn based rpgs and almost works, but they forget that Dark Souls actually rewards you for being good at the game so that you don't have to grind for resources. Here that's basically impossible. You can't go for more than two dungeons without your characters being riddled with mental illnesses (unless you spend 30 minutes cheesing the AI), which means every time you dismiss them to go whore away their depression you have to run some shitty level 0 characters to pick up 10 gold before all but one of them gets murdered by a pack of giant maggots.

If you don't mind that, the combat, aesthetic, and variety of character classes are all really good for the most part. For some reason you throw away all of your leftover items after finishing a campaign because real men don't like fagit crutches, but w/e. I admire a game where the max level is 6. Unfortunately, I don't have 30-60 hours to burn.

Superhot: Portal's a nice FPS puzzle game and all, but I only want my puzzles to revolve around murdering people. 10/10

Phantom Pain: Has the dialogue in the Metal Gear Solid series always been this stupid and annoying and now I'm just older? I'm getting sick of this resource shit so I'm just going to finish every mission as fast as I can. 10/10

MSG dialogue has always been stupid, but Phantom Pain is definitely the stupidest.

I take umbrage with that. There isn't nearly enough dialogue in the game to classify it as the stupidest. I still think MGS IV is leagues ahead in terms of stupid dialogue. And it's not even stupid in a "Fagtown USA is going to pointlessly quote this shit until they're in their 40s" kind of way.
