I used to hate white wine, although now I somewhat prefer it. For one thing it doesn't stain anything. I guess white reislings are ok, although it's hard to find good brands of that outside a liquor store.



My preferred brands tend to be Nappa Valley, Yellowtail, and woodbridge. Usually a Merlot or a Shiraz. Tuscan wine is also good, although I forget what a good Chianti is in that regard. French wine that is actually worth it's reputation is too upscale for most of us, so I basically avoid French wine.

Also, you're right that it's not really a topic worth getting informed about, although I did take a brief intro to wine, so I could tell the diference between smokey, tannen etc.

American wines put preservatives and shit for mass marketing, which is unfair because american wines are supposedly competitive with say, Italian wines. But that's not true as long as they insist on poisoning the american consumer. You don't go broke underestimating the taste of the American public!

I fucking absolutely love wine more than beer and other spirits now, but yeah, I don't know jack shit about any of it.

Cabernet Sauvignon and anything rosee are the best. After my last job interview I got blasted on cabernet sauvignon and wandered around the art institute drunkenly leering at modern art because I'm a fucking fag.
