I enjoyed Nerds 2 as a youth, and I even hold it in nostalgic regard, but it IS fucking awful, and while the original holds up great, part 2 is kind of excruciating to watch with my MODERN SENSIBILITIES.

I am intrigued by the notion of Nerds 2 being excruciating to modern sensibilities in some way that Nerds 1 avoided. In theory I'd like to watch all of them but I guess the first sequel may put a quick end to that theory.

I meant "modern sensibilities" in terms of my OWN modern sensibilites (maturity, don't ask) and more refined appreciation for writing/directing/acting, which has made the first movie better and the second movie worse, where when I was a kid, while I liked the first better, the range between it and the second was closer.

I don't want to talk about the TV movies (3 and 4).
