Using Facebook is the online equivalent of staring at yourself in the mirror, according to a study.

Those who spent more time updating their profile on the social networking site were more likely to be narcissists, said researchers.

Facebook provides an ideal setting for narcissists to monitor their appearance and how many ‘friends’ they have, the study said, as it allows them to thrive on ‘shallow’ relationships while avoiding genuine warmth and empathy.

Sometimes I have dreams where I have violent shits, but then I wake up and check and find that I haven't. It was only in the dream. Clotho, what does this mean?

I dreamt of a giant skinless horse vomiting processed square of pieces of himself before going berserk and hurling viscera.

I don't even know if vomit is the right word for the first part since he just opened his mouth and they slowly rolled out like an assembly line.

I hadn't had a bad one for about 6 months so I thought I was over them but now I'm entering one of my phases where literally every time I go to sleep I dream of something terrible.

In some cases it doesn't make sense how I could dream because I thought you had to be in the later REM stage to have them, but they occur when I nap in between snooze alarms too.

In any case, it seems like skinless animals and vomiting/eating flesh are constant themes.

Oh hey, I guess most of this is tied to the amount REM sleep you have, which makes sense since because of my job I have to sleep in short 4-5 hour periods that apparently curb the amount of REM sleep I get.

If you work a split schedule you too can have constant horrifying nightmares!

I had a dream the other night where I saw a woman's hand get ripped apart by a chainsaw while she was trying to push it back and screaming. Then she got set on fire while she was still alive and exploded.
