Gosh. I can't even imagine a city that has trash pick-up but not recycling pick-up. Does this mean they don't collect compost, either?

Boston might have recycling that comes to your house and stuff if you specifically request it from some specialized servitor, but they definitely don't have recycling receptacles around town.

It does seem to be much more primitive than most places. You apparently have to order a private service for curbside pickup, whereas the city of Boston requires most apartment complexes to have recycling options.
