| Yes, let's disregard all of the other important work Nader has done and focus instead on him never being President. |

He's heavily responsible for the passing of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Although it's really unfair to compare consumer advocates with politicians in teh first place. |

Ralph Nader is a great guy, but I think ALDP makes a good point. If he earned some street cred by winning a reasonable political office, people would say, "This is a serious man."
Look how well it worked for Obama! |

Texas will vote for McCain period, so I really do have a legitimate excuse for not voting
third parties will never get any momentum in the near future because they wont get much in the way of electoral votes. The only other way is to have leaders transfer over from another party.
So yeah, if every major democratic leader joins the independents, fine, but otherwise third parties are all fucked and live a festering hopeless existence. |

I guess I might actually vote this year.
But on the other hand, I don't really want to ever do that jury duty thing. |

Well, you're exempt if you don't REGISTER to vote.
I think that's how it works. |

| It seems like most states take from a number of lists, including voter registration and driver's licenses. |

| Well I'm never registering to vote again because I actually had to do fucking jury duty and I didn't realize that's how you became eligible. |
